CAREER OPPORTUNITY- Short-Term Engagement

The Pacific Islands Tax Administrators Association (PITAA) is a non-profit organization of Tax Administrators in the Pacific region. Established in 2003, PITAA has a membership of 16 Pacific Island Countries (PICs) with an objective to provide a network to support and promote programs and projects that enhance tax administration advancement in Pacific Island Countries (PICs).

PITAA has an established Secretariat in Suva, Fiji to manage its operations. The Secretariat pursues the coordination and implementation of the PITAA Heads Meeting and the Executive Committee decisions, in addition to facilitating capacity building needs for members.

PITAA is therefore seeking to recruit a dynamic, suitably qualified, and experienced Fiji resident as a Temporary Relieving Officer- Finance & Administration.

  • Contract Period: 2-3 months
  • Work Schedule: 5 days per week from office

The Finance Officer will deliver the following accountabilities:

  • Data entry in MYOB
  • Prepare timely payment vouchers
  • Send subscription reminders to members
  • Perform bank reconciliations
  • Draft Executive papers
  • Update PITAA website, newsletter and social media pages
  • Assist with other administrative tasks as required

The preferred candidate must possess the following qualities:

  • At least a graduate (Finance/Communications/Marketing or similar)
  • Experience with MYOB accounting software and Canva
  • Willingness to learn and adapt
  • High level of integrity
  • Self-directed and able to work under minimal supervision
  • Strong written communication skills

PITAA’s working language is English.
