Tax Audit Managers Regional Workshop

Participants in the Audit Managers Regional Workshop will experience a wide range of subjects directly related to audit management good practice. A review of strategic planning processes, the design of national audit plans, trends, issues, and problems being experienced by tax authorities will be discussed. The role of the audit manager will be a key feature of this training including how to improve the overall functionality of an audit department, use of risk analysis and treatment strategies to achieve higher compliance outcomes.

Audit managers will participate in classroom teams to address real-life audit management issues, sharing their experiences with all class members. Case management, workload selection, audit coverage concepts will also be reviewed with good practices shared.

The workshop is a joint initiative with the International Monetary Fund (IMF), Pacific Financial Technical Assistance Center (PFTAC) and the PITAA Secretariat.

Target audience: The workshop is designed for tax audit managers and team leaders.

Requirements: The nominated participant must have a good understanding of tax audit processes and procedures and currently be placed within the audit or risk management divisions.
