Revenue Administrations (RAs) have recently been challenged by the effects of COVID-19 which is impacting on their ability to engage and maintain registration processes and management of registration data in challenging circumstances.
Essentials underlying a High Integrity Taxpayer Register will be covered in the workshop. These features include law and administration underlying the taxpayer register, supporting business processes and systems, accuracy and reliability of information held on the database. Experiences will be shared in the development and progress of the various administration’s registration processes.
This is a joint initiative with the Pacific Financial Technical Assistance Center (PFTAC) and the Pacific Islands Tax Administrators Association (PITAA).
Target Audience: The workshop is designed for officers working directly with the registration process in the service areas, data maintenance and compliance.
Requirements: The nominated participants must have a good understanding of tax administration and registration processes. We ask that there is a maximum of four officers nominated per administration and that you advise on the nomination form how many virtual connections will be needed.
Participation: The workshop will be a mix of training, discussion and group work. Participants will be expected to contribute to the discussion and provide input with regard to registration processes in their administration.
