The workshop will focus on three (3) themes to ensure the filing and payment processes are improved (progressively to good/best practice), with strong foundations such as data integrity and sustainable into the future. The three themes are as follows: –
• Good practice for filing of returns, payment and arrears;
• Data integrity to support filing, payment and arrears; and
• Developing effective support capabilities needed to achieve an “A” TADAT rating including communication, education capabilities, improving IT capabilities (including e-filing) and the development of a headquarters function to take leadership on reporting and analysis, quality assurance, maintenance, data matching, data profiling and behavioural insights.”
Debt and returns managers will participate in teams to address real-life debt and returns management issues, sharing their experiences and regional best practice with other participants.
The workshop is a joint initiative with the International Monetary Fund (IMF), Pacific Financial Technical Assistance Center (PFTAC) and the Pacific Islands Tax Administrators Association (PITAA) Secretariat.
