Managing Modern Revenue Administration Regional Workshop

October 7, 2019 - October 10, 2019

This will be an excellent opportunity for CEO’S, Commissioners and Senior Managers to get together and review significant legal and administration reforms achieved in the region over the last few years, their successes, barriers to implementation and also potential areas of reform that should form focus of activities from 2020 and beyond.

A high-level overview of the workshop includes the following topics:
a) An opportunity for countries to provide an overview of legal and administrative reforms achieved over the last five years and their impacts;
b) Identifying the barriers that frustrate and stall future reform initiatives and how we can mitigate them;
c) The role of the CEO/Commissioner in Revenue Administration – can we define it?
d) Organizational design to facilitate compliance – how are we progressing?
e) Performance management – how advanced are we?
f) TADAT and its usefulness in the Pacific – where to from here?
g) Managing compliance risks and the importance of data; and
h) Focusing on Large Taxpayers and High-Net Worth Individuals.

The workshop is a joint initiative with the International Monetary Fund (IMF), Pacific Financial Technical Assistance Center (PFTAC) and the PITAA Secretariat.

Target audience: The workshop is designed for CEOs, Commissioners, Directors and Senior Managers who are responsible for the implementation of reform initiatives.
