PITAA/ PFTAC Regional Workshop on Tax Registration

Registration of taxpayers and maintenance of a complete and accurate taxpayer database are fundamental to effective tax administration. It is the first step in bringing taxpayers into the tax system. A robust tax registration process benefits taxpayers and the tax authority/service and is essential for a fair and efficient tax system. It ensures everyone contributes their share, promotes compliance, and provides valuable data for informed tax policy decisions. Tax Registration was one of the core tax operational areas identified as a focus area from the Benchmarking exercise carried out during the 2023 PITAA Heads Meeting.


Workshop Objectives

The primary objectives of this workshop are to:
