The Pacific Islands Tax Administrators Association (PITAA) is a non- profit organization of Tax Administrators in the Pacific region. Established in 2003, PITAA has a membership of 16 Pacific Island Countries (PICs) with an objective to provide a network to support and promote programs and projects that enhances tax administration advancement in Pacific Island Countries (PICs).
PITAA has an established Secretariat in Suva, Fiji to manage its operations. The Secretariat pursues the coordination and implementation of the PITAA Heads Meeting and the Executive Committee decisions, in addition to facilitating capacity building needs for members.
PITAA is therefore seeking to recruit a dynamic, suitably qualified, and experienced Fiji resident for the Finance Officer position.
The Finance Officer will deliver the following accountabilities:
- manage and coordinate PITAA HR System, Payroll and Finance
- process PITAA Members subscriptions and other potential donors
- prepare, reconcile and make payments
- prepare Financial and Reconciliation Reports for management
- review amend and process finance policies and practices
- coordinate annual financial audits of PITAA accounts
- Maintain Asset Management
The preferred candidate must possess the following qualities:
- at least a bachelor’s degree in Accounting & Finance Management. FICA Membership and preferable HR and Computing Skills.
- Proven performance in similar role with 3-5years experience being an advantage.
- Advance knowledge of MYOB and other similar software.
- Highly disciplined, well- organized, and high level of integrity.
- Ability to multi-task and meet challenging deadlines
- Self-directed and works well under minimum supervision.
- Valid Driver’s License
PITAA’s working language is English.
